Chairman & CFO
A native Israeli, Shlomo’s passion for business development and finance is deeply rooted in his homeland. Serving in the Israeli Defense Force from 1989-1992, Shlomo completed his tour and then earned his Accounting Degree at the College of Business Administration in Tel Aviv.
Shlomo moved to Los Angeles in 1993 and joined the investment-banking firm of H.J. Meyers and Company. He began his career as a portfolio manager. The following May, he met Daphne, a young computer programmer who worked for a local charity in his building. Eight months later they married and Shlomo moved over to Prudential Securities.
As his career continued to grow, Shlomo traveled frequently to Tel Aviv. Recognizing the strengths and value of his financial relationships in Israel, he developed ties with Israeli regulators, financial institutions, public officials and private companies.
In 1997, Shlomo met Michael Poutre working together at Paine
Webber, Beverly Hills. They fast became friends and respected colleagues, both taking a highly personalized approach to serving their clients. They also shared strong family and communal values—celebrating the birth of Daphne and Shlomo’s son, Andrew, in December 1998.
The urge to help his community led Shlomo to becoming a member of the California Chamber of Commerce and The West Valley Jewish Community Center. Wanting to return the favors shown to him when he entered the country, Shlomo began advising new Israeli companies breaking into the U.S. market place. He started writing a bi-weekly financial column for Shalom L.A., a Hebrew language publication in the
U.S. and conducted a variety of lectures and speaking engagements on Israeli economics and finance.
His hectic professional and personal schedules include a full athletic schedule. In addition to business, Shlomo’s passions include soccer, surfing, mountain biking, and fund raising.
The year 2001 marked several changes in Shlomo’s life. Another girl entered the household in the spring with the birth of a daughter, Sophia, and he spoke more and more seriously with Michael about opening their own firm.
In October 2001, with his family's full support, Shlomo realized his dreams in a wealth management firm like no other—a wealth management firm with the mission and the morals he led in his life—a wealth management firm bearing his name.
